ABOUT ME
I am an HR professional turned HR academic who is passionate about maximizing the value of workers to organizations and fostering positive worker experiences. I have dedicated my career to educating the managers and HR professionals of tomorrow and to answering research questions that can help organizations improve their HR-related policies and practices.

Fall 2021 - Spring 2024
STRATEGIC HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
(TRADITIONAL)
This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the HR function in organizations under emphasis of its strategic value. Students with a major in Management typically take this course. Students with other business (e.g., General Business, Marketing) or non-business majors (e.g., Sports Administration, Construction Management) may also take this course.
Fall 2021, Fall 2022, Fall 2023
EMPLOYEE SELECTION AND PLACEMENT (TRADITIONAL)
This course prepares Management students in the Human Resource Management concentration for HR positions that include staffing responsibilities, including planning, recruitment, selection, and employment activities. Students with other majors as well as MBA students also may take this course.
Fall 2019
HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
(100% ONLINE)
This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the HR function in organizations. Students with a major or minor in Business Administration or Human Resource Management typically take this course. Students with non-business majors (e.g., Sports Administration, Hospitality Management) may also take this course.
Summer and Fall 2020
DYNAMICS OF LEADERSHIP
(REMOTE)
This course introduces students to various theoretical approaches to explaining leadership and leadership effectiveness and provides them with tools to assess their own leadership capabilities and behaviors. Students with business-related majors or minors typically take this course.
RESEARCH
My primary research interests revolve around the topics nonstandard work arrangements (incl. work arrangement choices, characteristics of workers, career-related outcomes, as well as recruitment for nonstandard work arrangements) and work-life balance (incl. vacation-taking intentions and behaviors).
